Jon Huang is the Worship Director at Portico. He oversees the music, tech, and story teams. Jon loves developing and discipling leaders who are passionate about a rich culture of worship & prayer in our church family.

Jon has a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University with a Communications major and a Music minor.

Jon loves the church and has been involved in leading music and worship in it all his life. Throughout grade school and college, he had the wonderful opportunity to be in various school bands and music groups. Eventually, Jon ended up forming a band with a group of college musicians, which gave him the experience of recording and writing music on multiple small project EPs as well as a full-length album.

Jon likes going on adventures with his wife Moriah and son JJ, be it on a walk or a dive. On weekends, you’ll find him playing pickleball or breaking bread with his CG!
