Women's Retreat

Please join us at Portico on Saturday, October 3rd from 9:00a-2:00p for our annual women's retreat. The theme of this year's retreat is "Teach Me to Pray."

"Lord, teach us to pray." (Luke 11:1) This was the request the disciples made of Jesus, and, if we are honest with ourselves, it remains the cry of our hearts as we seek meaningful relationship with our living God. We know prayer is important, but do we know why? We desire to have a richer, more fulfilling prayer life, but do we know how? We will explore these questions and more as we take a deeper look at Jesus' instruction on prayer in The Lord's Prayer (Luke 11). In addition to the bible teaching, there will be both quiet times of personal prayer, and opportunities to learn how to creatively and more effectively pray with a group. Our hope is that, no matter how you would characterize your own prayer life, you would leave this day with a new love for and perspective on prayer.
